As a recent graduate of Central Michigan University (Fire Up Chips!), Bethany was inspired to pursue a career in law. She graduated with honors and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies, she also minored in Political Science. Law school may be in the future for her.

Originally from Hudsonville, Michigan, Bethany moved to Mount Pleasant for college and has not even thought about moving back – luckily Hudsonville Ice Cream is available all over the state or that may not have been the case! She grew up off of dirt roads and was raised with dependability and integrity as her core values. If something is worth doing, it is worth doing right, consistently.

Hard work is nothing new to Bethany, she worked in the food service industry for years to support herself. She also assisted in the CMU Writing Center while she was a student. She views serving and helping others as a fulfilling accomplishment. In her free time, Bethany enjoys spending time with her friends and family, painting, or kayaking and hiking when the weather is nice.

Since starting her work at Sarah’s Law Firm, Bethany has been more than happy developing relationships with her newfound community in Alma. She is the legal assistant in the Alma office and will be the one to welcome you at the front desk. She enjoys chatting with her clients and all who pop into the office to say hi. When given the choice, Bethany will always support local businesses and loves the variety that Mid-Michigan has to offer, second-hand stores are her favorite. She also frequents the coffee shops often; sweet treats and caffeine are her go-to.

Bethany welcomed a new member to her little family this winter, a rescue kitten named Gemini. Gemini, a 6-month-old tortoiseshell, showed up on Bethany’s doorstep days before the worst freeze Michigan saw in 2022, and not one to turn down someone in need, Bethany scooped her right up and brought her inside. They have been inseparable ever since.
